Creative Learning Team
Designers, writers, and educators co-create products grounded in Ghanaian heritage and creative inquiry.
Ananse Learning is a cultural universe rooted in Ghanaian and African heritage. We create stories, products, and worlds that help children see themselves in what they learn and help everyone experience the craft, design, and intricacy of Ghanaian culture.
Ntentan Universe is the living digital layer of everything we make. It is where Ananse Learning's characters and stories connect, where a poster becomes a portal, and a book becomes the beginning of a project a child builds themselves.
Through audio adventures, maker challenges, and story extensions, this is learning that children get to extend, remix, and make their own.
Our universe begins at age 3. Where it ends is up to you.
Our name honours Ananse the spider: a figure of wisdom, storytelling, and creative problem-solving in Akan folklore. At the heart of our approach is the Ananse Ntentan Exploration framework, named after the spider's web: a symbol of intelligence, creativity, and the interconnectedness of all knowledge.
The framework weaves eight pathways together: Architecture, Art & Design, Food & Culture, Literature, History, Sustainability, Research, and Technology. Children move fluidly between pathways, following curiosity rather than a fixed sequence, because that is how knowledge actually works.
Eight pathways. Hundreds of substrands. Thousands of possible learning journeys.
To weave culturally rooted stories, experiences, and products that deepen cultural, environmental and creative literacy. We begin with children, but the world we are building belongs to everyone who carries this culture, or is meeting it for the first time.
A world where Ghanaian and African heritage is the curriculum, the design language, the art on the wall.
Designers, writers, and educators co-create products grounded in Ghanaian heritage and creative inquiry.
Researchers and curriculum contributors develop pathway-based learning journeys across ages 3–12+.
Product and engineering collaborators are building the Ntentan Universe app and QR bridge experiences.
We collaborate with schools, diaspora institutions, curriculum coordinators, grant partners, and cultural organisations to scale culturally rooted learning.
Classroom bundles, bilingual materials, and inquiry projects support schools serving children in Ghana and the diaspora.
